Most of this stuff is gonna be from e-mails to my parents--it's the easiest way to do things. I'll say if it's otherwise from now on.
So you'd figure you'd go on a cleaning spree on all my stuff, since I'm gone for a month? =D
Total Crap? Jeez, mom. =P
How long until the piano's brand new 30% discount? This weekend??
Ginnie's still pretty good [obviously! to get in!], but I THINK I might be better than her [she tried out for AYP too]. I need to hear her play some more, though. She wasn't at practice today because of an ear infection. I don't remember what school she goes to, but it's in my old district, and it's really little. She's one of two tuba players there!
Yeah, we're the only two tubas here. That'd be an AMAZING tuba section if there were more. ^^;;
This storm has really cooled things off--how long is it supposed to be here? The only problem is, walking everywhere, my pant legs and my shoes/socks are so wet and cold. ;_;
I think Art Crackers is gonna be a lot of discussions. We talked today, and started watching some different dance videos. We're supposed to write our thoughts about them for homework tonight. They're trying ot get us to form our own definitions of art, and kitsch and the like.
I'm probably gonna move up to Advanced Theory, too. Today in Int. Theory we spent the whole time reviewing the stuff we did last class-- the pace is just too slow to deal with! I talked to Alan, one of the Advanced teachers, and he said it was okay that I didn't really know about the musical forms, because he'd be reviewing them in class. The way he desscribed it, it sounded like it would be like my old class, but faster paced, and we get to learn about the different forms by composing pieces. I really wanted to try composition, so I'll tell him tomorrow that I actually want to switch. So I'll have all my music classes with Alan!
There's more "mandatory fun" tonight, but Alan said it wouldn't last longer than 1 or 1.5 hours. And it's not a dance, or a horrifying mixer, but a summer opera company.
Tomorrow night's the talent show thing, so I'll TRY to get online some other time, since the quintet may want to warm up or something.
Tomorrow I'll also get to tour the music library, so I'll officially be able to use it. It's supposed to have a LOT of stuff--I can't wait.
The dining hall has a TV with CNN on all the time-- what happened with the people stuck on the roller coaster, and what was going on with Bush and troops and Liberia [or something]? I only caught bits of it, and they were launching into a big long interview of some "expert," so I didnt' want to listen.

PS. I had a raincoat? Or do you mean my poncho?
PPS. Aaaaaaaaaah! I can't get over the AYP thing... I'm gonna be wired all night. =D
